A deeply personal piece about my experience as a child with ADHD in the public school system. The title stems from a phrase told to kids with ADHD and autism in order to get them to stop stimming, which is a form of movement used by such kids as a form of expression akin to smiling or laughing.
The phrase "quiet hands" was painful. The experience was painful.
